Here are three recipes using fully cooked roast beef, beef, steak or ground. The other ingredients are simple and usually obvious.
Scalloped Beef
2 cups chopped roast beef, steak or ground, fully cooked
2 cups canned tomatoes, drained
Salt and pepper
1 cup beef jus or gravy or sauce leftover pot roast
(Maybe more than 1 cup if necessary.)
1 cup dry bread crumbs or croutons
2 tablespoons butter
Preheat oven to 350Degrees.
Place 1 layer in a baking dish with meat and tomato.
2 Season the layer with salt and pepper and cover with a thin layer of sauce.
3 Continue layering the meat, tomatoes, salt, pepper and sauce until exhaustion.
4 Cover the top with bread crumbs or croutons. Dot small pieces of butter over the crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until hot through.
Baked Hash
2 cups chopped roast beef, steak or ground, fully cooked
1Tablespoons butter
2 cups cold boiled potatoes
2 cups beef broth
Season to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking sheet.
1 In a large saucepan melt the butter in the broth.
2 Add the chopped meat and potatoes, and mix together with the broth.
3 Season with salt and pepper.
Pour into buttered casserole type 4.
5 Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until hot through and browned well.
Cream of hashToast
2 cups chopped roast beef, steak or ground, fully cooked
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1 cup of cream sauce, recipe below
1 Combine the meat, spices and cream in a large pot.
2 Cook over low heat over medium heat.
3 Serve on slices of toast for a simple dinner.
Cream Recipe
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1 / 2Teaspoon salt
Pinch of black pepper
1 Melt the butter in a frying pan, but do not let brown.
2 Mix the flour, stir until it is smooth.
3 Add the milk and bring to a boil stirring constantly.
4 Season and use at once with cream recipe Hash.
